Yes, definitely someone who doesn't see the bigger picture. It's the Marriott Hotel chain btw, and a search for the correct contact on !!!!!!!!!!!!! tells me the person to contact is Amy McPherson. A Google search tells me she's in the US and wondered whether I should be looking for soeone in the UK...maybe it makes no odss. Any thoughts?
If PE have coached the manager then that coming up in court will be a showstopper! I do hope that's been happening, if so I'll get the national press involved :-)0 -

A link to this thread will allow them to understand
At this point, both should be made aware
that you are about to go the national press
which will damage their brand
Find out who is the General Manager of the particular
hotel (they all have their own General Manager)
and copy him/her in
Do not forget Facebook, Twitter and Trip Advisor0 -
Yes I've now sent off to Arne, Amy & cc'd the General Manager of the hotel in question. Tweaked it to mention the national press and also to suggest they not associate themselves with such an outfit lest it damage the carefully nurtured reputation of what is otherwsie a nice hotel chain.
Let's see what happens next...0 -

*** VICTORY ***
The General Manager of the Marriott called to say he had PE on the line and was going to call me back in a half-hour. He did just that and said that the hotel had paid the court fees (i.e. paid off PE although I'm sure he'd never admit to it) and sorted things out with the court (yeah, right) :-)
Anyway, nothing to pay and apparently PE will email him to confirm that it's all been dropped and then he'll forward so I have a record. And to call him should my family wish to stay again and he'll do us a deal etc. Perfectly pleasant and very responsive in fact, nice chap.
I'm half expecting PE to pursue it nonetheless, which would be really fun cos then I'd legitimately claim all costs esp after all this...haha!
And thanks to everyone here who has helped out, you've been a mine of information. Genuinely appreicated!0 -

Brilliant news, it goes to show what we all can do.
We will never know what was said but suffice to
say ..... Motorist +1 .... Parking Eye 0 ... MSE Forum +100
.... that's all that matters
It was very arrogant, ignorant and pathetic that
Parking Eye continued with this
You will not be the last so stick around, with
your new found knowledge about parking
cowboys, you can help others in the same
situation, especially when PE are involved
Well done :T:T
And as the Grand Finale for you, why not
tell Sir Greg Knight your story.
Sir Greg is leading a members bill about
private parking.

Send him the link to this thread and let him
read what is happening at "ground level"
And as Jacob Rees-Mogg MP is involved in
the new members bill, I am sure he will like
to read your story
