I would only say something like that to someone I was interested in. It's kinda like testing the water...is this person single? Sounds like they maybe showing that they are interested, but covering it up in a 'friendly' fashion.

  • If you like him, ask him out. We no longer live in the regency era and you aren't obliged to wait for a man to ask you.

  • You would be better asking him rather than us.
  • Walk up to him at work and just stare at him and see what he does.

    Hi all,

I have started to get a crush on a work colleague but he doesn't know it. I'm not sure how he feels either.

He's gone on a trip with friends and sent me a random message out the blue yesterday saying that he keeps seeing my favorite animal and they make him think of me.

What could this mean? Could he have a crush on me too? The guy tends to be a bit of a flirt with everyone, but would you say that to a girl you just saw as a friend?

This poster really does sound like a teenager. Do adults use the word crush?

For whom? Not for me, not for anyone I know including schoolteachers, one of whom was writing about school not being canceled today due to snow 15 minutes ago.

    For the op?
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

Surely it doesn't matter what the animal is as he keeps seeing OP's favorite animal... FWIW my money is on a Robin.

Could be a sloth.. or a chinchilla..

Come on OP, spill the beans

The animal is ducks! Not pigs lol :D

I'm not a teenager. Far from it. I do feel like one at times like this though. When I start to get feelings for someone I just end up clueless on what to say and worry I'm going to sound stupid. I'm just weird.

Now I feel like I missed a good opportunity to flirt with him. The moment has passed and we've just had random boring "what have you been up to" conversation since then. *sigh* I wanna flirt but I'm useless :')
