It's a mistake to think of them as currency. They are (at least for now) better thought of as a commodity like gold, silver or oil.

I've seen that mentioned elsewhere and it does seem a far better description. They could be called another asset class but the volatility certainly doesn't meet the requirements of a currency although Zimbabwean dollars didn't either

Apparently the premium only is a temporary measure and full functionality will be rolled out to all users over the next 2 weeks. They get their price as a 'Volume Weighted Average Price' from Bitstamp, so it's always going to differ a fair bit from the current market rate.
You can't transfer your cryptocurrency from Revolut to an external wallet, so I'm not interested.0 -

im a big fan of coinable for small amounts (when it comes to taking money out its more complicated), and i use the jaxx app for a range of currencies.
I'm currently invested in b3 coin, spectre, dash and monero.
with some in eth/btc which is used to buy on exchanges alt coins.0
