I just ordered Some currency v!a Tesco online as I’m going to Thailand for Christmas in a few days. The problem I have is the website timed out after I entered my details I checked my account this morning It has been debited from my account 601.85. However I did not receive confirmation from Tesco so ring my bank they told me it was authorised and gave me the number, told me to speak to Tesco. I called them and they said it wasn’t authorised and hasn’t gone through and they have sent a cancellation signal gave me some reference number so the money is returned to the bank, does anyone know how long this will take to credit to my account the problem I have is neither party is helping me and I go in 5 days I’m stuck don’t know what to do next

Do you have a credit card ( Halifax Clarity for example)you can use while away to pay and withdraw cash from ATM.
Other than waiting for the cash to return to your account, I am guessing there isn’t anything you can do0 -
Some Internet banking sites give you the ability to check for pending transactions. You may be able to see if the returned funds are in the pipeline.0

Might take 3-5 working days for pending transaction to drop off.0

Is it all the money you have? If not, just go to the bank and withdraw your spending money in crisp £50 notes. It's the best value overall for most.
If you are flying into BKK, pop downstairs to the B floor to change some cash there, before proceeding. At SuperRich Thailand. You'll get a much better rate than offered by Tesco. Currently 43.45 at their airport booth. Whereas Tesco are showing 41.87. Count yourself lucky that it didn't go through.
Don't change anything on the Arrivals floor.

This is the correct advice, meanwhile the bank payment should resolve. Don't be tempted by the bank exchange counters at the BKK arrivals level, head downstairs. Thai ATMs charge £5 per withdrawal, plus your card's own charges if any.AlwaysHere wrote: »Is it all the money you have?
