Dublin for a day

Hi,
I will be in Dublin for the day in a couple of weeks (10 hours in the city) and wondering what people would recommend as worth a visit?
Please no art galleries or museums or similar etc. I'm just not into that sort of thing. A walking history or city tour...most definitely my sort of thing but looking at photos or paintings or sculptures in a gallery or old artefacts behind a glass screen in a museum definitely not for me.
Thanks

I think you're being shortsighted as there are some great museums in Dublin, but perhaps this would be more to your liking.

It isn't short sighted I have been to enough museums and galleries in my life all over the world and I find the same ...just not my thing.
I visited all of the museums in Liverpool the other weekend. I went to the British Museum last month. I visited the Kosovo Museum in Pristina not that long ago I have wandered around museums and galleries all over the place. They just aren't my thing and don't like basing my visit to a new city on visiting them. If I was with another person and they wanted to visit I would but I wouldn't choose to visit one on my own. A city walking or walking history tour is more my thing etc.
Thanks for the other suggestion though0 -

I can’t find the link from my phone, but there are speaking statues dotted around the town that will give you an insight into the town whilst walking around.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Another vote for the HoHo bus- you used to be be able to book online beforehand and get a good discount....can't check as computer playing up.
Also another vote for Kilmainham Gaol- lots about the 1922 uprising
I know you don't want museum but in the National Museum there are some amazing gold finds out of the bog such as Ardagh Chalice- which I have yet to see as museum closed on Mondays!
Trinity College (where they filmed Educating Rita) and the library with the Book of Kells
Dublin Castle
St Michan's has mummified bodies in the crypt
Loads to do in the city
Just googled and there seem to be free and pay for walking tours, different Hoho buses (and routes) ghost bus tour.......etc
There's a Dublin Pass which includes the bus , Guinness and about 5 other highlightsBeing polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
