Hi,
Looking for some advice please.
I've been living in America since early september and I've just got back last week and stupidly I hadn't got anyone to turn my cars engine over.
I've came back and the battery is dead. I got a chagrer/jumper from Amazon and charged it all the way up. It jump stars for 15 seconds each time then just dies again, sadly
I can't drive it to halfords etc due to this, and I've no breakdown cover due to it running out with my insurance in october
Looking to find out if anyone knows a company that supplies and fits car batteries? And doesn't charge an absolute arm and a leg (I'm in Glasgow by the way)
Thanks

Halfords will deliver one to your door. You just need to find somebody to fit it for you.0

Are you saying that once the battery has charged, the car will start but then die after 15 seconds?
If so, are you sure that the problem is the battery?
I recently had a battery that had failed internally to the extent that it wouldn't hold a charge and made no attempt to even turn over the engine. The car did bump-start and run just fine but obviously, if you stalled it, you had to bump-start again.0 -

Yeah. Once i connect the clamps, and press the button the light and ignition turn on. Then after about 15 seconds it goes off. If I manage to turn on the engine it goes off even faster
I'd imagine it was the battery. I can actually see the dash glitching and slowly dying, which I think means not enough charge?0 -
Charge the battery over 24 hours with a trickle charger and then try it.0

ECP will deliver, cant't help with fitting as I would do it myself.0

I drove the car for about 5 seconds and it's not been that cold0 -
