I still get emails when I signed up ages ago to the free email spam/service my uneducated opinion is they seem to play both sides of any topic. One day you get a post saying (why I'm still holding shell and will Continue to do so'. The a few days later you get a post saying 'I'm selling shell... And you should too!'. Based on that the can't ever be wrong 0

Interesting. Yeah that's a good way to play i suppose!
Btw i can't seem to quote messages on here using chrome on my S8 or Samsung browser... anyone else have issues?0 -
I used to enjoy their podcast many years ago, David Kuo was a good presenter and they covered many perspectives of investing and personal finance - but I agree with others, their style has changed and somehow they seem more obviously money-grubbing now. They may be a business, but it's always a shame to become less helpful as time goes on.***Mortgage Free Oct 2018 - Debt Free again (after detour) June 2022***

their articles are GCSE E and they all have the same conclusion buy shares.
The sun has twice as many sun spots - buy shares
Alligators are dangerous - buy shares
Shares have fallen (or risen) - buy shares"enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0 -
Motley fool is a waste of time. i wonder what the record is for whether the "experts" get it right or not. i imagine its 50-50, i.e. you might as wlel toss a coin.
I prefer seeking alpha, much more comprehensive and a wider choice of companies. you can also see comments and you can tell from there if the author is good or not. much more detailed. and its all free.
Thanks, just had a look at seeking alpha, starting reading a bit here and there and a popup appeared to register so I could continue reading... I hope they don't spam like motley do?!0 -

However, you can tell most email software to delete email that you consider (or it considers) to be spam...
That's true. The editorial was good sometimes - at least, it seemed decent in the early days when all they were trying was 'investing for dummies' with some views on the reasoning for certain share price movements - but forums are hard to beat because of the large volume of contributors, and the interactivity. And the fact that people on them are willing to write about things that would have very little commercial value, but be useful to know.0 -
I give zero credence to motley fool, they’re only interested in traffic driving, wheeling out one view one day and total opposite the next, sharing with the likes of yahoo, iii.0
