When someone reports a potential fraudster what happens next? Is it normally a simple check up and does the reporter ever hear anything? It's nothing , not nothink.0

Cash reward.
At least that is how the talk in the street goes.
As far as I'm concerned they can stick their money.0 -

Concerns about fraud can be reported anonymously so there wouldn't be any reward involved. I wouldn't expect the person who reported the fraud to be given feedback on the outcome even if they did provide their name etc. I may be wrong on that.0 -
As pmlindyloo says circumstances can make this difficult for people.
However, it remains a change of circumstances that should be reported.
It is likely that if not reported, the DWP will eventually recover any ineligible payments.
I seem to recall (but may be mistaken) that the PIP form asks for details about hospital in-patient stays.Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -

Jog on.
The benefit fraud hotline is anonymous so how would they receive any money. Also what if it was a malicious report?

Engage your brain.
Be careful.
You are dealing with incompetent organisations.
Only very recently I got a couple of grand per annum more from the DWP.
They'd put the decimal point in the wrong place.0 -
I would agree that offering a reward would be ludicrous and would just encourage even more malicious reporting than already occurs. But I still wouldn't put it past the powers that be, unfortunately.0

Someone I worked with in an admin civil service type job (not in civil service then) told me that JSA claimant advisers weren't directly instructed to obstruct claimants.
However, if the claimant count was lowered then prospects of promotion were enhanced. Take what you want from that.0 -

I hope you told them they were paying you Incorrectly. It’s an offence to retain a credit to which you know you are not entitled.0 -
