Am I right in assuming that if you pay for your shopping using a tesco credit card, you receive double points earned on any points awarded ? If this is the case, then this offer could be classed as a near giveaway...Please can someone confirm my thinking...

Im pretty certain the only points that would be doubled would be the actual spend ie 2 bottles of talc £1.64 1 cc point or 2 cc points with cc credit card. The offer 100 pts wouldnt be doubled so if you got 2 and paid with your cc credit card you would get 102 points.

Some of the Baby extracare products are BoGoF on tesco.com
Not as cheap but maybe more useful than the talc

I hope the deal's on in my area ( HP5 or HP21 ) I'm off to Tesco for talc........looks like it could be a white christmas:rotfl:
  • I've just been to Tesco and cleared the shelf of talc. Only 6 there. I intend to go back and buy another 20. This will be worth 1600 club card points or £16 - worth £64 in club card deals. Now the next day I will take them back. Club card points are NOT DEDUCTED. Happy shopping.

PS My only worth is the look on their faces when I try to return 26 bottles of Johnson baby powder that I purchased in error.

It all depends on the CS staff... when you show your receipt to get a refund sometimes (especially if they see all the points which are listed as Johnson Promo) they will ring CC to get the points removed. Its usually the luck of the draw... but they are within their rights to remove them... it depends how much of a jobsworth they are...

Be careful, Tesco may well cancel the points as per their T&C's:

"Tesco shall be entitled at any time to cancel points awarded if the relevant products to which such award relates are returned or cancelled for any reason and a refund of the purchase price is given or if the relevant products are exchanged for other products, unless such exchange is for products with an equivalent points value."

Its deffo depends on the CSA I think they are told to check receipts and if you were to buy for arguements sake 50 Johns Talc then take them back the next day for a refund... they would prob ring cc and get the pts removed...as it is taking the ****.. and I for one wouldnt want to risk my points...and draw unwanted attention to my cc account.
