First post people, be gentle if i've ballsed up the calculations..

I've been to a tesco store or two to try and grab multiples of baby powder, with varying degrees of success. So... I decided to try to order online.

As a previous poster said, you can now only order 10 x any one product at one time, which was a spanner in the works. So here's my calculations on how to get the most points for the cheapest on line...

    If you order:
    10 x Johnsons Baby Powder 200g = £7.60
    10 x Johnsons Baby Moisturisingcream 100ml = £9.80
    10 x Johnsons Baby Soap 4 Bar Pack = £11.80 and
    2 x Johnsons Cotton Buds Drum 200 = £2.78

the total is £31.98. I then used the '£10 off when spend £30' coupon. I managed to get home delivery for £3.99, which makes it £25.97 altogether.
For that you get 32 products, so 16 x 100 bonus points = 1600, plus the odd 21 or whetever it is for actual spend.

So easy figures: £26 for 1600 points.

If you were to go in store and fill your basket / trolley with 200g baby powder - if you can actually get it - £26 would buy you 34 bottles, which equals 1800 points.

So it's up to you - you can either do what I did earlier and get funny looks off school girls while scanning through 20 bottles of baby powder in store for the sake of 200 extra points, or order them on line, in your own home, not looking like a weirdo, saving time and petrol. Plus, the actual benefit of being able to use some of the products, ie the products now have an actual value.

Own trumpet being blown, but that's a good first post, right?!

(ps. and yeah, I know the delivery might not be as cheap for everyone else)
(pps. if i've totally mis-calculated, I would love to be shot down in flames - I could tend to the wounds with baby oil, powder and cream)

I wouldn't bother donating unwanted talc to maternity hospitals: talc is not recommended for new babies anymore, hasn't been for quite a long time, as it isn't great for their skin nor for their lungs!

    I'm off to Tesco.....
It might be worth dropping em off at your local old folks home my DH nan loves talcum powder,my son is having a raffle for the pensioners at school so i might send some there.

Your calculations seem fine but they do make the rather large assumption the stuff is actually in stock to deliver.

    Ways to mitigate :
Order your usual groceries as well so if some J&J is missing from the delivery you stand a better chance of having > £30 of shopping delivered & the £10 off still applying.
Choose "no substitutes" - otherwise they may swap 2 small talcs for 1 large etc.
