Newbie POPLA Appeal Advice

Hi Nosferatu101
Really sorry, I think that's half the problem with these kind of fines as they are preying on hard-working, busy people like me who just want to do their job and provide for their families. We don't have the time to read through all the details and do this properly so most people probably end up paying these despite it being a total scam. Totally my fault for being one of those people that didn't have the time to read this all properly. Despite all of that, I've now been emailed by POPLA to say APCOA have now decided they are not going to proceed with the cases and have confirmed I no longer need to pay - so I'm now free to get on with my life and so a huge thank you to you and all the others on these forums that have provided so much help - I'll try to get it right next time! Thank you again.0 -
A typical abstention from Apcoa right at the wire when they see their hearing fee being asked for
This is very common practice for Apcoa

As the appellant did not make a valid payment, he has failed to comply. As such, I conclude that the PCN was issued correctly. Accordingly, the appeal is refused.
I'm confused. If POPLA rejected your appeal, why are APCOA now telling POPLA they don't wish to continue ..... ?JMKWilts79 wrote: »Despite all of that, I've now been emailed by POPLA to say APCOA have now decided they are not going to proceed with the cases and have confirmed I no longer need to payPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
