Thanks Pigpen for the quick reply, i think he just worries to much likes to wrap her in cotton wool and he worries about her hearing but she seems fine.

Evening all
Littles fed, bathed and in bed (DH did it as I have committee mtg)
Woof walked
Me fed
Ebay -all of stuff selling today sold, 2 paid - 3 left but one will be collection so hoping for cash to save on paypal fees.
Not sure how much flying will get done tomorrow as Nursery is closed for DD2 session so we are off to town on the bus. We need to get her a card and present to take to a party on Sunday (her first solo party:D - no big sis, DH will be staying with her). I also want to get her feet measured and new shoes so trip to clarks (although that seems a bit hit and miss). Will go to the nearest town as thats only a 20 min bus journey, Ely is better but 40 mins each way is no fun (plus means leaving woof alone longer and he is still settling in - although by the way he is laid out on the sofa next to me, on his back showing his lack of male attire I'd say he's getting there:rotfl: ).
Also now got ebay stuff to post, bank to do (still not got round to it) and DD1 has swimming lesson at 5pm so busy busy busy. Not sure what Pigpen has in store for tomorrow?? If its bathroom I am ok as that got a good disinfecting and scrub today.
I feel the need for chocolate - best warm some milk hot choccie for me! Was gonna have a glass of wine but dont fancy it now.0 -
I wouldn't waste the phone call to that crappy NHS direct.. they are totally useless.. I can't understand in what circumstances they would actually be useful.. if someone is ill surely you ring the GP not some twonk on the end of a phome who won't even consider coming to see you and I just think it is a stupid service to waste a bit more money.. shall I get out the soap box???LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Hi guys - another day of zero flying - hope that make some of your feel better. Did a Nigella and came in the door and 2:45 and has spag bol in the AGA by 3:00 for when I returned at 5:00!
Problems all round:
Have upset my mother as last night I cancelled seeing her today (she was picking up DS3 for me but my plans changed and I had to be at school for PTA)
DS3 - still huge trouble getting him to sleep - bed at 7:30 everyday this week, never asleep before 9:30
DS2 - stressed - too consciensious with school work and now a project needs to be in Friday and not after half term - I'm all for ringing the school but he does not want me too.
At least I have posted my ebay stuff. Hope to fly a bit tomorrow
Vanilla - hope the little one is okThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Oh crap DD has just fallin and hit the back of her ear of the corner of the coffee table, oh thinks i should take her to out of hours because he thinks it's dangerous to get hit there. I don't know what to do it's swollen up a bit and is skinned, she says it's a bit sore but she seems fine
. What would you do or any advice please????She has a cold cloth on it now.
Hi - I used to work in emergency care on the ambulances and I go along with what pigpen has said. Also as with any head injury, keep an eye out for any unexplained drowsiness, nausea or vomiting or sluggish/unequal pupils. Chances are it is a simple knock and do you really want to spend hours up at A & E to be told that. Dorling Kingsley do a very good book called home doctor which tells you what to look for and when to get help. Instinctively tho' you know your child best and will know when something is wrong.
Anyway, completely managed to lose yesterday (bad day) so been trying to catch up on posts. OH got a late job at work yesterday and didnt get home, so I had to walk DD to school and then wait for him before I could go to work. I was an hour and 40 minutes late  . I am so lucky that I have brilliant work mates who covered for me (boss is off this week) but it did make me think about whether to give up my well paid job with very good pay rises/pensions etc and go for something closer to home and that fits around DD going to school. Am looking at an advert for a Teaching assistant in a special needs school that I saw yesterday. Does anyone know if they are paid over the school holidays?
Flying - well I did the kitchen yesterday and only missed things like the filters and the oven which are weekend jobs. And today have done DD's room as she refused to do it and have confiscated loads of her stuff which she knows I wont throw away, so I have told her if she wants it she's got to buy it back ! I will teach her to tidy up and look after her stuff. DS says he's done his room, so I'll go up and check and finish off in there in a bit.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

I have used the NHS direct website in the past and now if it says call then we cut the middleman out and go straight to the GP/Hosp depending on time of day and severity of problem. It can be quite interesting to see what answers it throws up if you 'try' the other other answers! But yes I agree with you pigpen, they only go through the flow diagram with you on the phone and then say go to GP/Hosp or worse wait for a Dr to call and they go through it all AGAIN!Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0
