Beware - big virgin media let down

Options
My 90 year old mother (who is undergoing cancer treatment and has painful arthritis) was due to have her Virgin BB connected last Friday afternoon between 1 - 6 pm. The cable runs outside her house so it was a simple connection with no major obstacles. At 4.30 she had heard nothing and called 4 times between then and 7.30 and was promised they would turn up.

They didn't and despite calls over the weekend and emails, tweets to the CEO the net result is that they are now saying that the earliest they can come is the 13th December.

Her EE contract is cancelled, she lives alone relies heavily on the phone and internet so for two weeks has nothing.

This is a massive disappointment, they offer no reason for the no show and are not guaranteeing they will be there on the 13th. As far as I can see their T & C's offer no reference to installation standards.

Any suggestions on how to get this done ASAP greatly received.
Thanks
