Hello All,
I have a some good MSE and some spurgy days :-(
- Added Extra covers on my bed, as I have woken up freezing a few times this week and last night had a warm sleep.
- I took DD to a new trampolining place yesterday and we went with my Mum for pizza tea afterwards, not cheap but a rare chance and experiences build memories.
- Got the Christmas tree down from the loft it was £7.50 about 3 years ago, I consider this to be very MSE! Bought a handful of new Dec in Sainsbury with 25% off.
- Let over roast from Friday so I didn't have to cook.0 -
Evening all
Went to DD's as OH wanted to see the baby, came back with GD as she was being very demanding to her exhausted mumNow exhausted grandma as well, as we have just taken her back :rotfl:
They LOVED your card FVD, incidentally baby weighs 8lbs 3 oz, but seems smaller as he is quite compact. He has some black hair, which DD was thrilled about as we always have bald babies in our familyNo doubt it will all fall out over the next few weeks :rotfl:
Still got most of those things on my list to do - got the Christmas decorations out of the loft so that GD could sort them out, and walked dog and that is about it. OH's back is playing up a bit today0 -
- Checked my bank & scheduled payments to come out of my "bills" sinking fund to go into my Current account for the month
- Entered all my purchases and whats left in the accounts into my "Finance" airtable sheet
- Stayed in as far too cold. We put the christmas tree up together.
- my fiancee made butternut sqaush soup from stuff we had in the cupboards
- I am using my very badly damaged but still working laptop until it actually dies on me... it's a pain in the neck to use but it should hold up until after christmas
- I'm getting into the mindset of that "i DON'T want to spend my future" or thinking about my future more
- I purchased christmas tree decoartions from B&M
- Everyone is sorted for christmas so hopefully won't be buying things for christmas
Debt to fiancee - £404.00 (left to pay) | Save £12,000 in 2018 - £371.90 all together|2,018 items in 2018 (8/2,018)0 -
DAwn congratulations - how lovely for you. Bound to be a difficult time for dgd though, completely understandable. Glad your dd has such a lovely ma to look out for her x
Carrie - belated birthday wishes lovely! Hope it was sublime xDF as at 30/12/16

I was hoping she'd have a boy, Dawn, as that's one of my favourite cards! :rotfl:
Today has been a bit of an odd one as I woke up with a headache again, it seems to be every Sunday and I'm sure it's related to my neck problem and happens when I sleep for too long. It's gone now with a couple of painkillers and lots of neck exercises but I still didn't get much done.
The new washing machine arrived but I haven't felt up to playing with it yet, I had to empty the cupboard under the sink next to it so I took the opportunity to tidy it when putting everything back.
I collected a batch of cards that UPS took to a shop on the other side of town (that don't stay open late) instead of the one actually on my road. I have decorated the next batch and have them boxed up ready to go but need to print the label at my mum's tomorrow.
I still haven't wrapped my eBay parcels
I didn't feel up to cooking so we had nachos with cheese and a pack of tex meX dips that were on offer. Lunch was leftover pizza from last night.
I've done some jiggling of monies and will get onto last employer for a P45 and hopefully should get a tax rebate on 22nd, I will also ask for the forms to take my pension from them.
This week I'm planning to apply for a small business grant from the local authority so keep your fingers crossed for me!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

I’ve joined a new gym which is a lot cheaper than my old one. I know gym membership is a luxury and I did freeze my payments for a while but I found that being in the house all the time, moving less and eating cheaper food was starting to make me gain weight and feel terrible. I was worried about becoming depressed again.
This week I’ve also cut out buying fizzy drinks. I was drinking about half a litre of Coca Cola a day and now I’m strictly on council pop.0 -

Hi MMC87! Welcome aboard!
As a dedicated gym goer, I def know that the gym membership is mse compared to the junk I was eating and drinking and it's very good for mental health
