It seems you can't recycle them so should they be

You don't have to take the coat hangers if you don't need them. In fact they seem to give them out much less freely these days and some stores ask if you want them. Just say no.0

Personally I think we should ban people from banning things.

A lot of shops will actually take them back.
Haven't tried it for a while but if you take the TU hangers back to sainsburys they will reuse themChanging the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -
