Thinking of you and yours Valli X

It is ds1's 21st birthday tomorrow.

    Ground floor dysoned
    5x wm done
Visited docs to fill in temp resident form for ds1 and then collected him later
    Haircut decluttered
Ds2' school visited to collect my winnings from the Raffle. I won a very large chocolate hamper. I donated some of it to the staff room as it was too heavy for me to carry to the car.
Mr S visited for nut free cake
Relative visited to cuddle a baby. Baby likes me and kept smiling.

Felt to exhausted for tap tonight.

    Thanks for the threads X

We found another bloody flea!!!!! more bathing and spraying of house today

Ironing pile cleared / drawer cleared

Got loads to do today so onwards and upwards

Thank you Natty for this week's lists and thank you Valli for last weeks

Donna regarding the flea situation, the fleas are becoming immune to the Frontline. I've found Advantage to be very good, and it kills instantly. Also if you can get some Indorex from Amazon, this is a house spray, spray the house etc with this. It lasts 12 months and is very good, I can heartily recommend it. :D Also if you get it from Amazon it works out half the price of a vets practice. I also get our advantage from VetUK or somewhere like that and it is cheaper than the vets too. Hope this might help you ...

    Arghhhh :wall:

How do you fold fitted sheets? No matter how many YouTube videos I watch I cannot get th hang of folding the bloody things. My cleaner was amazing at it. Maybe I should rethink this flying solo. :o

Poke your left hand into the corner with your Right hand so it sticks up.

Bring the next corner up to it with your right hand and match the point of the corners.

Keeping the two points together, push the edges of corner #2 with your right hand so that they are inside out, but covering the #1 corner that your left hand is still holding up. They make a neat shape.

Still keeping your left hand inside what is now two corners, reach down and lift up the next one with your right hand , flipping that over in the same way you did #2.

Reach down and bring up the last corner in the same direction with your right hand, and repeat.

Lay the sheet on the bed and adjust the sides so they are also straight.

Now it's resembling a square/rectangle with the strips that go along the sides of the mattress - the bits that make it 'fitted', making a L shape nearest you and along the top. It should be pretty much flat - it won't be perfect, but it'll lie pretty flat.

    Fold it as normal.

I use VetUK and Advantage for my mogs too as frontline doesn't touch them... they reduced the active ingredient so they could sell OTC rather than prescription only and rendered it useless..

Thing is one random flea could have boinged off the soft furnishings onto doggo and be in the process of dying.. it does take a while to clear a household infestation.. definitely more than a few days, as new bugs hatch they jump on doggo and die.. give it time.. and overdosing on flea medication can cause lasting neurological damage so please be careful with it!

  • I have quite a bit of housework to do in the Kitchen mainly.
A whole wad of organic rubbish to dispose of.
Masses of washing up to do to restore my cupboards which are now empty.
But unlike in the past it is now something I can cope with whereas in the past...

    Good Morning

I have been awake since silly o’clock

The dogs were crying to go out and I couldn’t get back to sleep

It was lovely this morning going down to a very tidy kitchen, just work lunch to make and DW to go on

The lounge is reasonably okay until we start on the Christmas decorations. We have two lofts and one of them is only Christmas things.

    Have a good day

Mad work day yesterday, there is no way I can keep on top of the job. So I am NOT even going to try. I am merely doing my best.

  • Thank JoJo. That's the method most of the people on YouTube use as well but for some reason I couldn't get it last night. I had another bash this morning and this attempt was better....much more practice needed.

I've been awake since silly o'clock too gilly1964. Stomach cramps so I've decided to walk to work this morning as the endorphins should help prevent me from wanting to smash all the dishes in the office dishwasher since some people seem to think they are above emptying the bloody thing.

Happy thoughts. Think happy thoughts. :rudolf:

I also have tummy cramps, which kept me awake in the night until I gave in and took some knock-out pain killers. Feel a little washed out this morning.

Glad to hear your niece did well Valli and congratulations on being Slimmer of the Week. My diet failed yesterday with the festive sacrifice of a chocolate reindeer found loitering in my glasses cupboard. I think he may have been hiding...

More painting today. Nearly finished in the fireplace inglenook. Beautiful shade of matt red called Riding Hood. Middle Room is useable, pantry is too, a few tweaks needed in the dining roim, kitchen and lounge but need to paint the back hallway...
