British Airways Reward (Avios) flight sale: long haul economy

British Airways have just announced their Christmas sale.
Half price Avios reward flights for 90 long haul destinations in economy.
To be clear, the Avios required are half the usual number, taxes and fees are unchanged.
Book before 17 December 2017 for flights 4 January – 30 June 2018 from Heathrow or Gatwick in World Traveller.

Try looking for revenue flights and then reduce the cost by using Avios. Even at that price I wouldn't book long haul economy on Avios.0

Last year it was also from Manchester, where they do a code share with AA. We were able to pay partly cash and partly points, making a big saving.
