I was overcharged yesterday (preston asda), and she only paid me back the difference. Mind you, I have always been overcharged in that store for 1 thing or another, but nvr received a £2 gift card.

Current info on the Asda website: (and note it says for each product, don't let them wriggle out of it)

What happens if I am overcharged?
If you have been overcharged in any of our stores we will gladly refund the difference (if you have been overcharged) and give you a £2 Gift card voucher for each product you have been mischarged for.

I've tried to find this policy on the Asda website but can't. Perhaps it's been removed? If someone finds it, I'd be grateful for a link because I was overcharged today and only got the difference refunded. I asked Customer Services if they offered anything else and was told "No".
    Thanks in anticipation. :)
  • I can't find any reference to it either.

My local store told me they stopped giving the £2 gift card as the polidy was being 'abused'. Rubbish!

  • It depends on which asda, i was overcharged at the Radcliffe Asda last week by 88p, and the look on the customer services girl's face was disgust, on my part for complaining, i check my bill every time now, i was once overcharge £5, it happens daily, and people do not compain, why not they are RICH!!!

I did not get any £2 card, but i shall be going into the store tomorrow asking why not!
  • I went today to asda (small heath) and got another £2.00 gift card for my overcharge I get 1 every other week and have never had to ask them for the card.

  • Overcharged me by £6+ last week! Took them [and me 1/2 hour to get it rectified] - just got my money back. Didn't know about the £2.00 voucher, next time I'll ask....
