There used to be a free edition when the product was called inoculateIT. Sadly its nto free anymore but i right it the highest. After that i would go fo AVG everytime

Thanks for all the replies folks, I think I'll just stick to AVG which has served me well for a couple of years, although to refuse a freebee does go against the grain.
Fran, I downloaded AVG, Adaware, Zonealarm and Spywareblaster onto CD at my work in order to load them onto my new box of tricks before connecting to the internet.
I'm pretty certain that I did this as a result of advice I read on this site sometime iin the past0
