Hi all
My wife bought a dyson v6 animal vacuum cleaner from argos on Thursday last. Week she has used it s couple times but hates it not enough power she says. The box and its contents have been used but is it possible to get a refund still? Was bought from argos. Or will she just have to take. A loss on it an d sell it on ebay or somewhere?
Cheers for Any advice

They're not going to give you a refund for something that's been used like that.0

Didn't think so ah well she will have to loose some money will get it on ebay0

Did she buy in-store or online? If online it can be returned but the refund can be reduced to reflect the use she's had of it.
If purchased in-store you're out-of-luck, Argos' return policy only covers unused items.
But I'm surprised a Dyson isn't powerful enough, especially given what they cost. Are you sure it isn't faulty?0 -
I’m surprised she doesn’t like it. I have one as have all my family and even some of my friends and we all think it’s great. Have you contacted dyson and told them about your concerns? It’s possible there’s something wrong with it.0

She ordered and paid for it inline but collected from tbe store. It's got some power and pics things up but I was and she was expecting it to be more powerful than it is. Dont think it's faulty but no way to tell really0

Ring dyson helpline and explain. (Have you tried the max power option?). They will listen to the two power settings and advise you0

Your expectations of the product aren't the point. If it performs as described, then the best you can hope for is that the retailer will be nice and take it back (unlikely).Debt 1/1/17 - Credit Cards £17,280.23; overdrafts £3,777.24
Debt 5/1/18 - Credit Cards £3,188; overdrafts £00 -
Yep agree just wanted to make sure, will try the helpline and see what they say and yes we have tried the max setting aswell Lizabeth0

If paid online it's a distance purchase and can therefore be returned, but expect the refund to be reduced significantly to reflect the reduction in resale value caused by it no longer being in new condition. The reduction can be up to 100%...
You may be better-off selling it on.0 -
Thanks all will ring helpline see if there is a fault and if not and she isn't happy will ebay it0
