Currys Refund: A reason that works to get a refund on a tablet?

Hi all,

What is a general reason that works to get a refund on a tablet product from Currys?

I recently bought it but realised apps like Whatsapp don't work on it.

I have already opened it, it's only a few hours old and no damage and still have the original box etc.

I thought WhatsApp was mobile phone only.

As it’s unboxed and with out a fault why would they take it back? Stick it on eBay and sell it as second hand, which it now is.

Not now you have taken it out the boxed & used it no.

Edit: I'm sure there is a way to put Whatsapp on a tablet, but I can't remember how it's done.

You should have done your research and made sure it was suitable for the purpose you wanted to put it to. That's not the store's fault.

As was said above - eBay, Gumtree, or Shpock are your next port of call.

you have no legal right to a full refund , you can ask for one but its up to currys
i agree with the above sell it and recoup some of your losses

Next time buy from QVC (You can send things back after 30 days use)

You don't even need to install whatsapp.. there are chrome browser extensions which enable you to use whatsapp.
