You only need one or the other.

I dont always use both, infact I often dont use either, I use the black hole on its own other than twice a year spring and autumn when I use all 3

a wax on its own wont last as long as a wax with sealant over it.

You can't put a sealant on top of a wax as it won't bond to the paint correctly.

Sealant then wax is perfectly fine but often not needed depending on the wax used.

There are plenty of other coatings out there now that will outlast both wax and sealants.
