If you speak to Tesco Customer Services nicely, and explain it's the first time you've been caught out with this, they may refund the fee + interest (provided you pay back the money asap).

Looks as if Curve plan to introduce a 1.5% fee when using a Curve Card with an underlying credit card at places like HMRC.

This is no longer that case, thankfully and the 1.5% charge will only apply to Non Metal users.

But metal costs £15 a month! You'd have to be spending at least £3k per month (assuming 0.5% cashback on credit card) to make it worthwhile.

Yes but it works for plenty of other banks. However as they are limited to £200/day its absolutely useless for MS.

I did this while on holiday in February 2020 (Oman and Sri Lanka). Neither Curve nor Barclaycard imposed any charges.

i did this a little while back in the UK and was charged by Barclaycard,  i presume it is linked to how the the place you withdraw the cash reports the transaction..
