What are the best wearing and best value clothing items around these days??

Bobbles on jumpers are indeed very annoying - my mum bought an electric bobble remover about 20 years ago (it still works now!) I just found one on ebay for £5.48 inc postage - they all look very similar, kind of like:
So that might help extend the life of some of your tops!
As far as clothes and style goes - I love this look:
I'm about to get a few bits for my wardrobe myself - I'm going to get a jumper like that one, or like this one
And get a pair of skinny grey jeans. I'll wear knee-length boots over the jeans, and the jumper over a strappy top or something. Those two jumpers were from ASOS.com, and the bottom jumper is £15 in their sale. I love this style of jumper, as it shows off slim hips and the bust, without exaggerating the stomach. Another good online shop is boohoo.com
Short jumper dresses teamed with thick wooly tights/leggings, with knee boots and big bags are a fantastic trend, one which I love! I have a couple of knitted ponchos that I'm getting a lot of use out of this season (one from Oxfam for £3, the other was a gift from TopShop).
Don't be averse to BHS or Primark - as with most high street shops, there are sometimes jems among the rubble! Also, charity shops are a gold mine (esp in January/Feb when people are giving away unwanted gifts). They can have some great bargains, but you do have to be prepared to hunt for them.0 -
if you like next why dont you get some bits off ebay ? Ive sold loads of BNWT next stuff off for a fiver or less... Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I highly recommend ebay and COAST clothes. I've got some lovely coast dresses which would cost 100's in the shop, for under 20 quid each! I've also purchased some skirts and tops for a couple of quid. Most of my work clothes and going out clothes are Coast which I've bought off ebay!
Good luck and well done on the weight loss))))

I buy Next or per Una from car boot sales - never pay more than about £2 for anything and have some lovely jeans and skirts.
Plus I look for designer stuff at carboot sales and charity shops
Best of all you are re-cycling and so doing your bit for the environment!

No one has mentioned Matalan yet. Their clothes are usually well made and quite fashionable.0

Hiya, ah someone found thie thread - thanks for all the congrats, i have not updated my sig yet (it's been a heavy few weeks!!) but I have reached my 'Gold' weight with Weightatchers now and, although I am not trying. I think my body has got back into sync on how it used to be and I have lost some more.
I managed to get some skinny jeans (yes, me in skinny jeans, never say never girls!!) and I got some size 10's tried them on and they fitted so grabbed those and when they went through the till in Asda they were supposed to be £14 but they were half price but unmarked so £7. i went and grabbed the last pair so i got 2 pairs of jeans. At the end of the day I am a mum and housewife, I;ve tried to do the fancy tops but they have hanging things that dangle in the washing up or get covered in carp from the kids so I got some V neck jumpers frm Next (£12 each, 2 for £20) they are OK but nylon so whenever go near my daughter her hair stands on end (LOL, I kid you not) and we have managed to have some great static shocks between us - she is 5 and thinks it is hysterical!! But the bext ones I have found are the soft touch ones in Asda £8 and Tesco £8 or £10. They are great and really nice one as well.
I went to Matalan the other day for the first time and never got a chance for a good look as I had the kids in tow but if I get some Xmas money that is where i will be heading as for kids stuff, they are quite good it seems.
I have tried car boot sales but I think that with eBay getting the most of the stuf now car boots have pretty much had their day. the thing about eBay is that you have to stick £3 or £4 on postage and that bumps the price up a lot so I stopped buying there.0 -
I think Matalan are pretty good too, along with Asda, Tesco, Primark and Peacocks.0

Good old George @ Asda.... can't beat Primark though. I used to work there and was shocked at the quick turnover of stock and continuous changing outfits. We used to sell similar items to Topman / River Island / Selfridges - only difference was Price and yep... QUALITY! It's a sacrifice between the two, depending on how much assets you REALLY have! ;-)0

Bobble removers are great & you can get one for around £2 at Home Bargains. Also try some of the larger Sainsbury stores, they have some great budget fashion at the moment0
