HELP - I had an accident in my wife's car while transporting it uninsured!

Yes but see what the claim is costing .
The other insurers will report the claim whatever way its paid to the motor insurers database . That may affect any future policies .0 -
They know you are uninsured and are paying out of your own pocket. How are you going to pay the inevitable costs of a hire car, total respray, whiplash claim and anything else they can dream up?
Get professional advice.0 -
The circumstances reported by the OP sound like a crash for cash incident so whiplash claims are almost certain to follow. How many people were in the other car.
I do have some sympathy for the OPs situation, a lot of people get caught out by the sub wording of several insurers driving other cars extension. Could OP confirm the actual wording from his policy documents just so we can be certain he is not insured after all.0 -
Hi everybody!
It is hard to believe, BUT I can't find a solicitor that will give me advice! Even if I pay.. A contacted about 10 different firms who officially experts in road collisions.. nobody can help - all they want that I claim injury
Only one told me to call my insurance and try to get something from them.
Insurance is not interested to loose time/money to solve that case.
Minwhile I responded to the 3d party insurance who contacted me, but it seems they are not interested what I say (not my fault, offer to send them the photos and diagram)
All they ask again - give then my insurance name and a claim number LOL
I am desperate really.. I am ready to go at plea guilty to police for the uninsured driving and after that I want to go to the court against this lowlifes..
I want ask their insurer for the details so I can lodge the claim against him in the court. Should they give those to me??
Appreciate any your comments!0 -
this is the wording from my policy:
"Driving other cars:
Comprehensive
Social, domestic, pleasure and commuting 9 or more years, not protected
Included
The insurer will cover you, name, for damage caused to third parties while driving cars that are not owned or hired to you. There must be a valid insurance policy in force for the car you!!!8217;re driving. This cover doesn!!!8217;t include damage to the car you!!!8217;re driving. See section 3 of your policy for full details."0 -
I am happy for all comments..
BUT they will dream up same as I could .. even i am guilty in uninsured driving I am still unguilty in the accident!!
Or it is impossible any more to prove that I am/was right right in the courts??0 -

I don't think you have a leg to stand on to be honest.
As you are now aware you were driving uninsured, so your insurer won't help.
You've advised us that no solicitor wants to take on the case.
As you've said you took no photos at the scene or any of the third party details you're really going to struggle to prove to a judge what happened.0 -
thank you for reply!
But how about my car? I have not repaired it and all my proof baised on !!
Well, and the 3d party took pictures - those also will be a proof, a?0
