What should I do with my leaded roof?

My flat porch roof is leaded and is leaking badly. I've had it repaired several times unsuccessfully and now plan to get it completely redone, not in lead. What's the best way to handle this re selling the lead? I think it's currently selling at about £1.35 a kg and I estimate there's about a tonne. Will the chap who fixes…

Just make sure the quote (don't get an 'estimate') either says the lead to remain on site, or the price you agree has taken into account the £400 the roofer with receive.
