We received a new home card personally signed by the site manager and sales rep, and a bottle of Champagne along with personalised key rings. Only a little touch but a nice touch.

On the day we moved in, both visited and the site manager arranged for someone to come the next day and fit all our curtain poles! This to me was amazing enough as I was dreading drilling into the new plaster and walls!

This was with Linden Homes in the South West.

    Which Linden site was this?

Well, we got a hamper from our vendor's estate agent. Unfortunately, it came via the Post Office and we were out when they tried to deliver it, so came home to the usual "you were out" card.

This was the point at which we discovered that our local post office was an eight mile drive away, and the hamper was worth about a quarter of the travel cost.:rotfl:

I would have, if they'd paid full asking price.

As they were getting it for £25k below I thought they could sort out their own coffee and wine.

I did leave them the lightbulbs and some loo roll though. And a free lockable filing box with all the house paperwork in.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

    No hamper.

Although they had turfed the rear lawn which they weren't meant to do, so that was helpful, and they did leave half a tin of paint in case of touch ups.
