Third party sim deals

I'm looking to upgrade my mobile contact which currently with EE. I've been looking at 3 as their deals appear better than EE.
However, there are a number of third party dollars which are offering the same deals much cheaper than 3 official deals.
When I spoke with 3, they told me that people have problems with these deals are you are better paying slightly more for a less troublesome product.

So are these third party deals risky?

I'm looking for approx 10Gb over at most 12 months. 3 have offered 12Gb: for £12. However, I did find cheaper on third party websites.

Phone salespeople will say whatever is necessary to get you to buy from them. Truth is never a consideration

Once you have bought from a third party, you deal with the network, not the third party, so they shouldn't be troublesome. If in doubt, post the deal here for our comments?
  • Check out the coverage with Three before jumping ship... I find Three pretty good to deal with and have been with them some time on SIM only, data rates can be very poor during the early evenings and good during the day, but your mileage may vary.

£9pm inc cashback from 3 for 12GB on their advanced plan.

Might work if you don't forget, meet any T&Cs plus they don't go bust. Look at Quidco / Top cashback deals too.

I'm sure that this could be said of all networks.

I had to to switch my phone to 3G only (when on EE) to get any data during daylight hours.
