There is no judging, you took out insurance to protect you from this exact scenario but seemed reluctant to make a claim on that insurance. In the space of less than 24 hours you’ve gone from not wanting to claim to already having a claim paid out. What you have said so far does quite add up so of course people will be skeptical.0 -
I didn’t say I didn’t have a claim. I’d already raised it with dhl and don’t see why a 3rd party insurance company that I paid extra for should be at a loss. Surely dhl should be covering this and that’s my point. If I hadn’t paid the extra for insurance dhl would still be paying out themselves.0

If you hadn't paid for extra insurance then you would be out of pocket. DHL would not be paying you for any more than the insurance you had taken out.0
