It's the base corner that is the problem most uk solutions seem to go for those hideous mechanism that come out of one of the 600mm units when when there are better solutions with 900mm units which can go full hight as well solving the above counter corner.
(when you don't have windows in the way)0 -
Lovely stuff, Meepster. All perfect examples.
I’m not so sure about 900s. Yes to a corner larder in place but I do really like the visually clean corner even if it means a potentially wasted space. The bank of tall, deep units makes up for most of it in huge amounts of storage anyway. Much more than worktop and wall units.
We have a kidney corner in ours. It’s actually not needed. Hate the things and I have no idea what lurks in there but we all have tut in our kitchens that doesn’t need to be that accessible.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

You can keep the clean corner look with 3/4 carousels with fold in doors.
Also avoids the issues with doors drawers opening out in a corner.0 -
I think I've found a workable design:

(when will this site let me post links? Really annoying.)0 -

This still bothers me as it did previously
Access through these new doors to the garden is very poor as is access around the table and between the table and the breakfast bar.
We have similar issue in our dining room and the table just ends up against the wall
Is two seats at the bar enough
still thinking about the "kitchen"0 -
Did you pay for that design?
I don’t really like it. Not nearly enough space for dining; you need to calculate the space needed to sit, circulate and get into one’s seat. There’s one very naked wall and two walls that are overpower it. The worksurface is randomly broken up by the ovens. If you want them there, put them low level.
How many kitchen units do you really need? I’d count a larder as two or even three.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I think I would ditch the large cabinets on the lower wall, extend the peninsula to just a walk way and move it at least one units worth left.
Full hight on the left wall to accommodate your eye level ovens and the FF.
plenty of worktop run for a sink and hob from the left wall to the peninsula.
You could go very narrow depth on the lower wall as food/stuff storage even standard wall units(300mm) 150mm-200mm is plenty deep enough for most things.0 -
Hi All, I was thinking of the mid-height oven cabinets rather than full height but the online Magnet planner I used doesn't have these. Not sure if that changes anyone's minds in having ovens between the two windows.
The table is 1650x860mm when not extended. I think the table on the magnet planner is bigger than this.
The lader opposite the breakfast bar will block up under the stairs access so i could remove that and have a door level with the main kitchen wall instead (or I could bring it out more so it's level with the dining area wall so I have more space). Hope that makes sense.0 -
Make the under stairs walk in storage/larder.
Another reason to ditch the unit along the lower wall.
In your first post you said you wanted somewhere for an ironing board etc.
Find a new planner that Magnet one seems to be incapable of displaying the examples they have in their own showrooms(wide worktops).
as you have 310mm to go flush, that would work a run along that wall from the door to go flush with the dining area with one being under stairs the others shallow for the stuff like tins packets just one/two items deep.
then the other units can used for the bigger stuff rather than pull out larder units which are quite pricey to give deep access.
Edit:
thinking about it the rest of the floor plan might offer some options
eg. is there a door into the garage before this extention0
