I get that the budget is a major issue WF but if there anything you can do to enable you to make the appointment as planned as - I agree with abba1772 here - you do owe it to everyone to be as mindful of your own needs as you are of everyone elses. Genuinely - if this was something that you would scrape the money together from somewhere for if it was for one of the smalls, then please treat yourself with the same regard.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Agree with the comments above, you need to go to the appointment, your health is important. Is it the travel cost? Can something else wait another week or two to be bought/paid?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

As you know I agree your appointment for you is important

Morning WB
Hope you find a way of getting to your appointment today.
A phased return for DD is a good idea and I hope it goes well for her.
Have the powers that be set up some support for you at home as well so you can get out for shopping, appointments etc. without having to take her with you?
Have a good day. xx0 -
Thank you
The review yesterday went better than I ever expected (better than they expected too I think) We don't need to go back now for 12 weeks unless there's a problem. There is a lot of appointments still but they are all a lot nearer to home and a lot less invasive. I'm quite excited we've discussed 'future' plans where as a few months ago we where up in the air and had run out of plans to try. Fingers crossed this mix up of several ideas continue to work.
Tea she doesn't qualify for overnight carers because her needs aren't enough (how they come to the conclusion one person can see to her with a maximum of 2 hours in between something being needed is beyond me) but still now there's a longer break at night so we can hopefully all get a bit more sleep. When she's acutely unwell there's options available should I reach out for it.
School need some training before she starts the phased return. But have agreed she can go in for some of the time till then. I guess it will be slow going for now.
Overall though it couldn't have gone better. It's not perfect. The damage already done is irreversible. If we can slow it progressing though it's a win.. the true picture of how it's working will be at the next review when it's been enough time to see how it's working over time. Until then I'm running with the good news and enjoying every minute.
In other news. Went to my appointment. Need to go for an mri (expected this to be months of waiting) they'd called before I'd even got home and it's next week. Which surprised me. Will find someone to attend with me to sit with youngest.
Now home. Made a hot drink. Give youngest some lunch (she probably won't eat but I've tried) and we are going to watch tv for a bit before I do the cleaning and ironing. Feel rubbishbut getting on with it and not moaning;)

That all sounds like excellent news around Littlest WF - I'm so pleased for you all!
And well done for going to your appointment too - good to hear that things are progressing nice and speedily there as well.
Have a good sit until you feel a bit better, and then do a small burst of activity before having another sit for a while. Setting a timer for 15 minutes is a good way of limiting what you do and avoid exhausting yourself - remember that you have been through a LOT of stress of late and your body needs time to repair the damage that will have caused.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

That's brilliant news about the little one - it was all worth it in the end :j
Glad to went to your appointment. Time to sort yourself out now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hi WB
Great to read it's all sounding so positive for DD - and the rest of you as well because it must have a massive impact on everybody.
Make sure your default setting isn't to soldier on alone instead of asking for help when you need it, especially if plans have been put into place.
Hope the MRI scan shows everything is fine. Family member is having one this week and that only took a couple of weeks to come through as well.
I'd do the bare minimum this week if I were you. I'm guessing you're physically and mentally worn out so be kind to yourself. xx0 -
I'm so pleased over the good results for littlest! And I hope she eats some lunch.
I'm seconding EH's wise words over care of self, though I expect you want to be back in routine and have everything ship shape as ever. That will come in the next few days. Consider it a chance to catch your breath a bit.
I hope your MRI goes well and is helpful for you.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Hey Wannabe, I’m so pleased on the news about DD. That’s amazing. And I can only echo what everyone else has said about looking after yourself. X0
