Still can't believe the DLA hadn't been sorted yet. Hopefully you're due a massive back payment when all is sorted. Stay strong xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Hi WB
Sorry to read you're struggling although I'm not sure who wouldn't be doing everything you are. It's all so relentless isn't it
Hopefully the DLA will get sorted out soon and as well as a trip to the beach you'll be able to book yourselves another holiday.
Trip money is a never ending request at schoolsIs DS taking part in his special thing this month? I know you could do without the tears and attitude but I can understand where it's coming from. Tired, fed up of endless tests and exams and hormones kicking in. Not a fun time for anybody really.
Hope that black cloud drifts right over your head and you feel less overwhelmed with it all tomorrow. xx0 -
I'm not surprised you are feeling rough with everything going on. We're over half way through January now, it does seem like the longest month ever.
I hope you hear about the DLA soon. I'm sure you've said before they only take into account circumstances at the time of the appeal, how do you get them to be aware of everything that's changed since?

It sounds like you have a full on month with your youngest and you do so well to keep things as normal as possible for the other two. For your own sanity the school trips have to go on the back burner with the tight budget you have. Sometimes school funds step in and pay for families who can't pay so don't be too embarrassed to not let them help. I do hope this course of treatment works and you have a better year once January is over.
I think the welfare system has let you down tremendously. Hope you're all well. I haven't managed to get on and catch up with anyone. Really trying to make my data last on my phone x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -

Thank you
This is another flying visit. But I really need help.
Does anyone claim universal credit and receive council tax support?
I've received a court summons for council tax for this tax year (that has never not been paid it's a different account number to the arrears I've been clearing)
The court summons is for just over £300. I've called them and they said it's because the amount of support/benefit you receive fluctuates monthly when on UC. I've tried to get an appointment with cab but there isn't one before the summons is due. I don't really have time to go to a drop in before then either as we are still spending 14 hours a day here. It can't be delayed. It's dated the 13th and states it needs resolving in 14 days before further steps are taken and court fees are added.
Any help from anyone claiming both UC and Council Tax support please? This is really the last thing I need right now“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0
