I think it takes longer for adults to get over things as we can't take the time we really need to rest and recuperate when we've got family to look after, but I hope you're getting as much rest as you can.
Yes, those little bits that we normally just reach into the cupboard for mount up quickly when we need to buy them all at once so it's a good idea to take them with you.
Are there some other free activities the DC's can join in with as well to keep them occupied. I know there are things that need paying for but usually there's a couple of things on each day that don't cost anything, you just have to be quick at getting their names down
If they like the flatbreads keep making them. What they're going with sounds nice and I expect they're a good filler. xx0 -
The meal plans sound good - flat breads sound delicious.

Evening
Busy day today. Haven't stopped! Just sitting down with a cuppa before doing my ironing and things.
DS is taking part in a concert and the letters have come home today to buy tickets to go and watch. I feel I have to watch as it's such a big thing although I'm unsure and the girls and how it works. In fact Tea would you mind if I drop you a text? I'm sure one of yours must have done it as it seems it's a huge thing.
I have tons of housework to catch up on after running round all day.
Hope you've all had a good day ... even if it's been as wet there as it has been here!“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
Hi WB
Just text any time you want to, no need to check first. It's not something that happened when I worked in school so I don't even know how it works behind the scenes either. A great opportunity for DS though.
Hope your cough is getting a bit better. Take it easy! xx0 -
Can't believe you have to pay to watch DS in a school concert  Absolutely crazy :eek:I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Morning WB
Hope you and the DC's have all had a good week and you're feeling better. Did you get the answers you needed for the concert? I find schools generally miss out the most important bits that parents need to know
You must be in single figures for the holiday now. Bet the DC's are super excited aren't they. Have a lovely day and a good weekend. xx0 -
SA it isn't at school. It involves 8000 people overall
Tea thank you for the texts. I did speak to school. I haven't booked the tickets yet though as I do have to pay for both girls too not DS though. I have give permission for DS to do it as I feel like it really is a one time opportunity. I can't for the 3 tickets in to the budget yet though.
5 days till holiday
Food/everything else £16 left
Still to do..
1 weeks grocery
School photos (DS last one before high school) probably won't buy this.
Travel to big hospital appointment
Holiday
Youngest needs a waterproof all in one for school (supposed to be in 2 wees ago)
No meal plan this week. We are just using what's in. I've been and got bread and milk but everything else will be using up the cupboards/freezer.
We have the big appointment on Wednesday I'm quite nervous this time as I've noticed things creeping back up. But I also don't want any major changes just before we go away. So fingers crossed.
We are really looking forward to getting away although the anxiety of how quick things can change in youngest health is heavy on my mind more recently. I think it's always worse when the weather's worse. There's lots of bugs around and it's hard to get out for some fresh air. Anyway no moaning. I'm grateful for where we are and what we can still do. No one expected her to be where she is today but she's proved them wrong. I just need to keep focusing on the good bits.
Hope you've all had a lovely weekend

I hope you get to go to the event, if it's what I think it is , it's a lovely event . The tickets are a little pricey though I agree it's hard to find the funds for everything. I hope the hospital appt goes well and that you have a good break next week.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.0

Hi WB
I suppose it's like all concerts, if you're taking a seat there's a price that needs to be paid
It's not cheap for 3 of you though is it plus travel expenses. Also a very late night for little ones. But taking all that into account, as you say, a fantastic opportunity for DS.
Can you sit where you want or are tickets allocated to seats? I've been to the place a few times but would struggle to sit at a certain height.
I did ask one of my teacher friends about it as they've taken part recently and she mentioned a DVD of the concert. Not quite the same obviously, but if you aren't able to get there it would be a nice keepsake for you all to watch together.
Can't believe it's only 5 days to your hols or to half term  Hope the hospital appt goes well. xx0
