Hope things are looking better in all directions today...
Having spent a day in a totally unheated house, I now understand why you decorate at all hours: house work helps keep you warm! I looked out of the train as we passed yours and wondered where you were.
Hopefully on the sofa with a hot water bottle. 
When are you likely to have heating back?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
