Morning
Thank you for all the replies, going to speak to homeless prevention today and see if they will help again. They helped when getting the first suspended possession order with the forms and income and expenditure etc. I worry because the SOA was much worse than now and court set it at the £12.50 I actually went in offering more. Anyway worrying won't get it sorted.
Have the smalls home from school today with high temps and things so they are all in bed with drinks and medicine. So no excuse of not getting all the calls made this morning. Going to call and close the credit card too.

We cross posted but glad to read you're going to speak to somebody for support with the rent review.
Hope it's just a 24 hour thing with the smalls. x0 -
Was just going to say cross posted with you.
Thank you at least then I know what I can do. Going to get it dealt with this week and then it's done. This will be the last one so I will see it as a good thing!
Smalls aren't too bad and could have managed school I thinkThey will be back in tomorrow.

I've taken mine into school mid morning before now when they've made miraculous recoveries. I mean to the point of DD literally bouncing on the bed by 10am :rotfl: A day off won't do them any harm and there does seem to be a lot of mums on here who've got poorly children at the moment who are up and down, so best to keep an eye on them.
Excellent new that you're going to tackle the rent review. Just think by Friday it will all be over and like you say that will be it, done and dusted with foreverx

So I spoke to the homeless prevention team today. Well it's a new place now but still the same and is free. I haven't known but all along the HA could have gone to court to have the eviction made live without telling me as it is only 'suspended' not set a side. Glad I didn't know that would have been another worry all this time. They advised to work with housing as much as possible. As I have broken the agreement several time since it was agreed (even though it's now back up to date) They are well within their rights to request it to be paid back at a higher amount, just as I can request court to reduce it. I need to avoid going to court. I'm liable for all costs as I am at 'fault' The fees cost over £400 in total last time, with forms and hearings and things. I've asked for a breakdown of the fees from the housing along with what they are wanting at the review. Waiting for my account manager to call me back.
Having a cuppa now then will call the CC.
Smalls are all still in bed (awake) with hot drinks and reading books/writing stories.

Happy end of credit card day :T
If you possibly can, go to your appointments, by putting them off it's just another thing 'to do' and weighing on your mind. Its just another thing to worry about.
Hope you get some good news from the HA and the rent review. Glad you've got some advice."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Well done for ringing up Wannabe. You've got the ball rolling now and whatever the outcome is you'll know what you definitely have to deal with.
I agree, ignorance was definitely bliss about the eviction being live. I can only think that even though you've broken the agreement in the past, it's obvious now that you're on track and up to date with payments, so hopefully that will go in your favour. I'm really shocked at the £400 court fees charged. That's 1/3 of what you owe that could get added back onAnyway, don't dwell on that until you know for sure what's happening. x

Hi Wannabe, please please speak to Shelter to get some legal advice if it comes down to it. You should qualify for legal aid and it would be so much better for you and your mental health to have a lawyer representing you rather than having to do it yourself. You should also get help with fees if you need to apply for the payment to be reduced. There are options!

Thank you
Silver Queen I just posted on the main board then saw your reply. Thank you I will give them a call now. Last time I got free advice but went to court on my own. So will have a look at the link and speak to shelter.

If nothing else it may be worth pointing out that if the housing people insist on going back to court that would be in the region of £400 less that you are in a position to pay to the arrears due to the fees.
Definitely a good idea to get the review over and done with though - putting it off won't change the outcome in the least, and may even make them feel that you're trying to dodge the issue.
I suspect if they can see the way you've worked at getting the Council Tax arrears cleared they may well be happy to leave things as they are, on the basis that you clearly want to get the arrears gone, and so will OP against the agreed amount in any event.
