It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

The first step is to put in a Mandatory Reconsideration.
You must do this within 28 days of the decision being made.
Pick out the main points that you disagree with & pop it in a letter to them headed Mandatory Decision & include any up to date medical evidence that you may have.
If I was you I would also get in touch with your local MP. They can be very helpful.

Definitely fight it, it might take energy, but that energy will be sapped by struggling to afford everything.

  • I'm really sorry about the DLA, how ridiculous . I know it takes energy to fight these things but maybe someone at the CAB will be able to help you.

Being skint is horrible. You are doing a great job with making things stretch and not go to waste, though, and the kids are content, which helps.

You mentioned going to work again - would that be the same place you were before? It seemed to suit you well, it was just that the timing didn't work out with everything else you had going on. Or are you looking at something different?

You must fight the decision about the little one's DLA, don't just let it go. I hope you'll be able to get some help with it.

    Afternoon :)

Cherry not sure about work, Old place would have me back but I'm not sure how it would fit in around smalls and I'd feel awful having time off when it was needed. Such a whirlwind of thoughts :o

Forgot to say I have requested the MR of the DLA. I think something must have gone wrong somewhere as when I called to ask about the decision some things didn't make sense. Fingers crossed x

Anyway Sunday again. Wish the weekends didn't go so fast :(

We really haven't achieved anything either. I always feel guilty when its been a weekend at home (other than popping to the supermarket) but it's just so cold! and all 3 are still drowning in a cold and chest infections. All in good form though.

We have done homework and baked biscuits I guess that counts as a small win.

Have got a few things in my Amazon basket for DS for Xmas will try to survey to cover them and then Xmas should be done. I will keep hunting the charity shops for the famous pig figures and things for youngest (why are they so expensive new :o) and will probably add some stationary bits in for DD.

I still haven't made cards to send :o We must finish them soon we don't have many to send mainly teachers/school friends.

I'm amazed how many people have their decorations up already?! Ours won't be up for a couple of weeks yet.

    Hope everyone is well
