Well done on the food shop.
I hate uniform shopping so any excuse not to go and do it is fine in my book :rotfl: xx0 -

I can't even blame the kids :rotfl: We do have netflix the kids really only use this. I use V!rgin for sports
I really really love F1 and tennis and golf and other racing and anything that's not football
BUT I do know I don't need it. I think it's something to consider (maybe in november when F1 has finished :rotfl:
No seriously I am considering getting rid of it .. honest
The smalls all wanted different :rotfl: That's what happen when you ask the 3 of them what they'd like I guess :rotfl:

When it comes to the F1 - which is costing you £468 a year at the minute... could you live with the highlights only? Channel 4's pretty good (I know plenty of people that watch that instead of Sky when both are live) and a cheap freeview recorder box if you're out or busy would probably only cost you 1 month's worth of satellite TV. I only do C4 via the aerial because I refuse to pay ridiculous prices for 21 races a year! (and I supplement it with lower series that offer free livestreams)
Failing that, would internet + Now TV day passes for the races be cheaper? Day pass is £7.99, so at 21 races is less than £170 for a season. That plus any internet costing £24 or less a month would cost you less than the satellite TV over 12 months..
Other alternatives for general non-football sport would be internet + Amazon Prime (£79 for a year) + Eurosport Player (£4.99 a month), which would give you tennis + Le Mans 24H + superbikes + athletics + cycling. Again, £140 to get Eurosport, so any internet £27 or less would be cheaper than the satellite TV.... (no F1 that way, but Prime TV/films would be included).Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

Great food for thought there WF. A lot of the time F1 is on Freeview. I would just go for Freeview if it wan't for Mr SA,it would save me a fortune.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Thank you I will have a look at all of them tonight.
I have always just watched C4 Highlights/racing until this season. I literally watch the whole 3 days worth now I have it available. Even the 'boring' bits from interviews to pit lane build up etc. However it isn't really worth the cost when it's laid out in black and whiteI'm going to look into those other options now and still might just consider going back to just the highlights.
Thank you for your help I'd never have known I could get similar elsewhere other than the other big company that's just as expensive.
Thank you SA something I need to wake up and admit it's an expense we don't really need“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
Morning Wannabe,
Have a lovely day xx0 -
Thank you PMO2 x
Afternoon
We haven't done anything out the house yet  waiting for amazon delivery and have baked cakes and biscuits. Girls are playing with the dolls house now. They had the right idea of doing all the good bits of baking then wandering off to the dolls house when it came to cleaning up :rotfl:
Should be a NSD today - unless the takeaway is still pulling me in later
Hope all is well

Next season, the only place to get any live F1 will be Sky, but the rumour is that Channel 4 will keep the highlights... I'm a bit like you and will watch all the free practices/interviews/build up/analysis (or at least, on C4 weekends), but I still don't think I'll be able to justify paying for it. I can watch Formula 3 on their Youtube channel and Le Mans on their website and touring cars on ITV4 and rally cars on Channel 5...
