I agree! My life isn't perfect at all, but I'm grateful for what's in it -family and friends. I sometimes feel quite left out when I look at fb etc but I try to push the thoughts away and sometimes I stop looking completely.
I hope things with LO are improving. Your children are so lucky as they have all the time and love that you can give. Be proud of you xx15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Thank you for all the lovely replies, it really does mean a lot.
Smalls are all happy. Although had a moment with eldest and how he speaks to me! Seriously sometimes he makes me wonder where he gets it from! Thing is he's actually really good and what he says is mostly correct IF he was an adult having the conversation with another adult. Not a 9 year old to his parents  Anyway he got a reminder and I hope that's the end of it.
Older two had been asking for some 'branded' toys recently and I'm considering adding a bit more about 'finances' into the weekly meetings. I think it's more not understanding that X amount is actually more than just a 'little' treat etc. I'm not sure. I don't want to feel I'm constantly saying No or them thinking it's all about money. Not sure what to do
We have been being entertained with free things. Parks/library etc when it's at the quieter (and cooler) times. The only spends have been in the Salvation Army cafe (£4.60 for coffee and 3 kids drinks and 3 kids breakfasts
)
We have some things to do in real town but it's just so warm I think it's a recipe for a stressful day.
Hope all is well

Hello W
Your wee ones are still very young so I think your right they don't still understand fully about money. I wouldn't worry about saying no to branded goods. They are having a good childhood with lots of experiences that other children don't have. The amount of time you spend doing things with them is brilliant. There would be a lot of much happier children if more people did the same and avoided the expensive toys.
As for people having perfect lives. It's a myth. Nobody has a perfect life and the sooner we all admit that and count our blessings the better.
Hope your visit to town isn't too stressful. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -

Morning (Just) although it feels like it could be bedtime I've been up so long

Weather is awful today, which I'm secretly glad about. It means we can have a day at home doing nothing much. Well the kids have some things they can do without too much input from me.
I'm a little 'broken' after a few accidents this week and I think a day (or a few) doing nothing to hard will help.
Smalls want roast for dinner now it's not as hot. So I think that's the only plans I have today.
All the bills are paid, smalls had some small treats while shopping yesterday. That was a difficult shopping trip. Need to make a plan for next week
This post is so rambled and doesn't really make sense so I'll leave it there.
I'll be back with a proper update when I can make more sense

You're not rambling at all. Just putting your thoughts down on paper. And sometimes that is what you need to do to get things clear in your mind.
You sound tired so maybe a few days doing very little is just what you need.
Take care. xxxxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Okay painkillers are setting in enough to be back with more of an update.
MSE wise, The debt .. Continues in the right direction. Very slowly though. Almost at a standstill these last few weeks. A change in home life means things have been tight. Along with it not being my first focus. I am no longer paying the fine however and this won't be under my debt anymore.
I obviously have uniforms to finish and things for school. So I can't 100% send everything to the debt yet. It is up to date with agreements though.
House wise I want to move. I'm not sure if that will be right now or wait a bit. The smalls schools is a concern and uprooting them when DS is just starting the last 2 years (and most important) of primary school. Decisions decisions. Although safety outweighs these worries I guess  Something to really think about. I am aware of what moving costs and it is something I am willing to go back into debt for if needed.
Food budgets not as bad as it was around £40 a week for the 4 of us. Still quite high though I think.
I still have V!rgin but maybe time for it to go really. The smalls use N3tflix and I only really use V1rgin for the sports something I can live without.
Medical costs have been extortionate for myself recently but that should drop in the next few weeks and return to a more normal level.
Holiday we have the October half term booked and paid for, train tickets sorted and spending money to one side.
Depending how quick I feel up to it I might consider a weekend/few days away over these school holidays but I need to be up to taking the 3 of them on the train etc on my own

Sorry TF cross posted,
I am tired and sore and just need to take it easy for a few days I think.
Smalls are sleeping out tonight and have plans for a day out with grandparents tomorrow so that makes it a little easier and I won't feel too guilty x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -

I'm a wee bit concerned about you mentioning safety here but if it is a concern then yes it is the most important thing. I don't know the circumstances but would the council give you priority. to move somewhere else? Although school is important I'm sure he would adapt. You are very good at reassuring your children. The smalls schools is a concern and uprooting them when DS is just starting the last 2 years (and most important) of primary school. Decisions decisions. Although safety outweighs these worries I guess
As far as Virgin is concerned, we are in exactly the same position. The channels now are total rubbish and if it wasn't for the Sports Channels (Himself loves his football) I would cancel it. My son is sharing his Netflix with us and he bought us a firestick. If only I could get the football another way but it is one of his few pleasures.
I wouldn't worry too much about the debt at the moment, So long as you're making to payments it really is the least of your concern.
Please take care of yourself. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0
