Bad survey and estate agent

Sorry for the dellay in reply. No i couldn't smell damp. But i put the offer in good faith as I was tild is in good condition obviously not.
Cut storry short roof is cheap no probs, airbricks can be fixed, i have a damp company inspecting the damp and the wood abd an electrician checking the system.
Out the blue the estate agent offered a price drop if 5 k... i do want the house but i am worried. Is not about re negotiations is about fair price. I thought i m buying a house in good order. As we know is tough saving for a deposit. And i already got 'the chancellor gave you free stamp duty" from the EA... why would i want to use that to pay for a house not kept as I would keep a house. In good order. And when i see on survey fire hazards because the owners cut corners and when the EA had the chance to say the price is that amount but there are issues.... i m not going to make 100ks on the house like years ago and i m realusric i have 25 years of paying the bank back. What i dont want is for EA to sell me porkies0
