    I tried to reset, but it says it does not have enough memory!

    Now at work so no time to address until this evening...
    I feel I have already lost a day of my life dealing with a pup!

    clear system files first if you haven't done so. make sure you delete any previous windows updates

    Wholly this.

    Thats the distinction - these little 32GB drives are rarely SSD, they're soldered in eMMC drives, thus not upgradable.

    I ran numerous Clear Disk yesterday, and deleted windows updates.
    Is it correct that to set factory restore I need to
    power off, and press ALT+F10 when the Acer screen shows up

    Did you choose the option to Remove Everything?
