Immediate Barclaycard limit decrease - will my other card follow?

I've been using my Barclaycard for day-to-day spending for a few months. I got an email a few days ago to say that I was approaching my credit limit, which I thought was strange because I believed I had about £2-3,000 left
So I've just got an email and text today that say my credit limit has actually been decreased, effective 15/11. 5 days ago
So I'm a bit concerned now that my other Barclaycard will follow suit. I hardly use that one, except for a few balance transfers that I made to it years ago
I know it's weird that I've got two Barclaycards, but one of them used to be an Egg card, and Barclays bought Egg and let me keep my old card (and quadrupled my credit limit)
So do they work these things out per card out per account?

Normally, lenders will view the accounts as a whole, so they may leave the other as it is.
Equally though, if they don't have a good single view of your accounts, the other could be impacted.
So definitely either yes, no or maybe.0 -
Usually lenders only do this to existing customers if something in your files has spooked them.
Has something changed in your circumstances / credit files?

I haven't applied for credit in years, so it won't be that. I think it's because I've been using it a lot, to pay for shopping and that (whereas I hardly used it at all before), but I *never* use it to withdraw money
It seems a bit daft that they'd penalise me just for using the card though, haha. Would it be the number of small transactions or the overall amount (still well within my credit limit) that spooked them?0 -
They're not penalising you for using the card. They're just managing their exposure.0
