LW thanks for letting me know about Mr LW. I hope everything goes well and I am sending positive vibes your way.
Judi congrats on Dh's job. That must be a relief.
DD and DGS came for lunch and DH is just running them home. Much snuggling on the sofa and watching Thomas the Tank Engine. they were out at a little friend's party yesterday afternoon so I think today was their Sunday afternoon Lol. DD even dozed off at one point.
DS is coming in tonight for dinner. I will make macaroni cheese and salad. Bacon may well make an appearance too.
It hasn't stopped raining all day. DH and DS are now home so I'm pulling up the drawbridge. Have a good evening folks.

NW What has made me so cross is that the first GP Mr LW saw, back in Nov last year, never followed through after sending him for two separate x-rays. It's only after me nagging him to go back, and him seeing a different GP that he's finally been referred to the consultant, who he is seeing on Thursday. Fingers eyes and legs all crossed!!!
I've typed out a "timeline" document so that the consultant can see at a glance the full history. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Just wanted to say a quick Hello.
We spent most of the day at Meadowhall with two of my dds doing some Christmas shopping. I had already done a lot of my shopping so enjoyed just looking at displays etc.
After realising how out of practice I am at cooking for six of us I am going to make sure I have lots of recipes that will stretch as well as making sure I have plenty of things like potatoes, eggs, cheeses, pastry that will provide extra side dishes or nibbles. I cooked a meal supposed to serve eight the other day and it just about managed to serve six
I really need to get out my old bread maker and get back into making my own bread and rolls. It was great for making pizza dough for small pizza wheels and large pizzas as well. It always surprised me how filling things like soup and home made bread could be and I want to look out some ideas like mini quiches, savoury pancakes and potato scones. Maybe having some frozen ready rolled pastry in the freezer as well as sausage meat could be useful over Christmas.
I used to do a Sausage Wellington which always went down well - sausage meat patted into a rectangle, covered with made up stuffing from a packet and then made into a parcel with frozen puff pastry that I had defrosted.
