Tickets Viagogo

Hi All
Apologies if this may have been posted before, I can’t find it on the search and wasn't too sure which forum to post in as this is my first thread.
i posted tickets on Viagogo today and they have just sold, however i was wondering if I report a problem within the 48hours do i get charged by Viagogo?
I was unaware that the payment isn't made until after the event. I bought the tickets by mistake and i am only selling them for the same amount i paid to get my money back, as i then purchased the correct tickets. I can't afford to be out the money for the two sets of tickets as the event isn't until 2019, and just wanted to get the value for the tickets and sell them immediately. I understand Viagogo's terms and conditions however I have not confirmed the sale yet, so just wanted to enquire if i have any other options.
Thanks in advance for any advice

Peter Kay tickets by any chance?
Unfortunately you are a bit stuck as it stands. Viagogo state:
"No, once your tickets sell, you cannot cancel the sale as the buyer is expecting to receive them.
If you are unable to deliver the tickets you sold, viagogo reserves the right to charge you the cost of finding comparable replacement tickets for the buyer."
They also make it clear that you receive the money after the event - this is to protect against tickets being fraudulently listed.0 -
I know once sold the buyer is expecting them, but i am wondering why they have given me 48hours to 'confirm' the sale or 'report an issue'. As far as i can see from the terms and conditions the buyer has made 'an offer to buy' and hasn't officially purchased them until i confirm, i just want to be sure what the 'report and issue' section is before i proceed.0

This is the relevant term:
"2.9 Seller's Confirmation Obligation. Except as noted in Section 2.9 a), the Seller must confirm the order within forty eight (48) hours of the sale of the tickets. Sellers should use our automated online confirmation process. Sellers will be able to see the service fee and taxes on our fees before completing the sell process and committing to sell their tickets. Sellers have forty-eight (48) hours from the time of sale of the tickets to “Report a Problem” if they are unable to deliver the exact tickets listed for sale. Sellers can “Report a Problem” using the “Report a Problem” link on the online confirmation page. In the case a Seller has not confirmed a sale within forty eight (48) hours, or in the case a Seller “Reports a Problem” the Seller, including without limitation, may be subject to a replacement fee, other charges, and/or other consequences as specified in Section 5."
I would give them a call to discuss what has happened. Out of interest though, if you cancel the sale with viagogo how do you plan to sell the ticket? I doubt you'd be able to find anyone willing to buy a ticket and pay now when the event is in 18 months.0 -

I believe the 48 hours to confirm is for you to agree to the sale, or you to agree that you cannot complete it, so Viagogo will source alternatives and bill you an admin fee and any additional cost above what yours sold for.
From another post recently, this difference in price can be quite a lot!!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Particularly high if as the OP says he is selling for face value as they are currently selling for double their face value.0

Does the tour cancellation mean that viagogo have no claim on the OP?There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

Don't buy from Viagogo, Iti is fraud. I bought heavily overpriced tickets for a concert in Port Elizabeth, only to be told on entry, these are fraudulent tickets and entry was denied. We ended up to buy another set of tickets at the venue and were advised not to buy any ticktets for anything from them.0

what have they said regarding refund under their guarantee?

It's not fraud. I sold some tickets using Viagogo a couple of months back, mainly becasue I bought 2 and my OH also bought 2 for the same gig.
I only sold them for enough to emsure I got my money back and they paid me a week after the concert took place.

However, it's just as true that there are also fraudulent sellers (and buyers) on ebay, Amazon, Gumtree, Facebook and probably many local markets and boot sales.
Just because there is a small percentage of dodgy sellers doesn't mean that the very large majority are not totally honest.0
