Check out YouTube and sewing for beginners.
Also with practice your son (and you) should be able to get it in the bag - the trick is to roll it tight and maybe use an elastic band or two like the postman drops to keep it tightly rolled while you man handle it! Making the bag bigger would make the whole sleeping bag more cumbersome to carry.0 -

Yes that looks like it could be suitable thanks I was also thinking of looking at compression sleeping bag holders but adult size (sons sleeping bag is child's size).
I am still going to have a go myself but at least I have a back-up now.0 -
