Good morning all. The enthusiasm of the weekend has well and truly left me. Had a conversation with ex on the phone last night and he is so depressed he's starting to pull me down with him. I'm trying my best to cheer him up but it's just not working.
Have got an armful of parcels to post off this morning so have got to leave early to pop to post office on the way. Not got anything finishing today so my only chance of making money is on 'buy it now' items.
Hope you all have a nice day.0 -
Hi GR...wow you've been busy!!! Well done on the ebay, how good must that feel, and the sun is shining
Hope you feel strong enough to deal with your ex. I expect it must be very draining. Apart from tea and sympathy there's not much else you can do and to be honest he's lucky (in my opinion) that he's got you to share his problems with.
I'd better update my diary, not much to report aside from some trips out at the weekend which were lovely.
Catch you laterz

Hi Diz and anybody else who reads this.
Feeling pretty down today, don't know whether its because the ex-boyfriend is starting to get to me or whether it's because it's my wedding anniversary today. It would have been 15 years had he not met someone's granny and run off. I don't think it's that that's making me down because we've been separated for 6 years and divorced for 5 but I suppose I'm feeling a bit vulnerable at the moments and I seems to be dwelling on the 'if only's' and 'what ifs'.
Not done fabulously on e-bay either, all the sales seem to have slowed down and I can't think of another thing that I could possibly sell. Will have another look upstairs later and see if there's anything I can get shot of.0 -
Sorry to hear you are feeling low. Just think how far you have come on your own, Debt free, savings and great kids.
No luck for me on ebay either.:j0 -
Thanks Wendy. My DD is sitting outside in the sunshine at the moment babysitting the cat. She's listening to her iPod and is singing along silently to the songs. She looks really stupid but she's enjoying herself and as nobody but me can see her I'll leave her alone. DS is out swimming, we have free swim here for all children of school age. It's a godsend because it keeps him off the streets and he's getting lots of exercise at the same time.
Have just listed 20 cd's, and 2 books on Amazon and listed the 20 CD's on e-bay also. Hopefully I'll get rid of some. Have got about 5 items ending tomorrow on e-bay and so far got absolutely no interest in them at all. I've been luckier selling my empty phone boxes. Am getting paranoid now and thinking people don't like my choice of homely stuff0 -
I'm sure it's not that GR. I've not sold stuff then relisted and sold it. Just depends on who's looking at the time. I've took some photos and going to get them on ebay later, as they'll be finishing later then too. Read somewhere that Sunday seems the best day for them to end. More people browsing then but who knows.
Just made an apple pie and jam tarts with the left over pastry so will have a slice of that later. Good luck with the rest of your ebay things GR

Thanks Diz,
Wish I had something 'big' to sell. I have got a large desk and leather chair that I want to get rid of but I don't feel comfortable with having someone to come to the house to pick it up and its far too large to post!!!
I suppose if I could have someone in the house when they collect, it won't be so bad. Will have a think about it tonight and investigate to see how much they are going for. The furniture is far too large for the room.
Not had any watchers so far on the stuff I've listed and I get really disappointed.
The apple pie and jam tarts sound lovely. I'm not very good at baking, or cooking anything when it comes to it. I can do it I just don't enjoy it. Every now and again I do a bulk cook of things like curry and bolognaise and I stick it in the freezer for my lunches.
Hope you gets lots of luck on e-bay. I hate the listing bit as it takes so long taking the photo, downloading to computer etc etc. I'm not very patient when it comes to that bit. I love the bit when the money comes in though!0 -
Hiya GR
I know what you mean about coming to the house. We've sold a few things which were pick up only, the folding camper, trailer, sewing macine etc and everyone was really nice. Always made sure OH was here though.
I've just listed 14 things, ruddy pain, they'd better sell!
As for the baking...I wanted some soya cream for mine so popped to asda as I needed some dishwasher liquid too. Bought more than I should and...forgot the dishwasher liquid.:D
The pie is yummy though. The jam tarts were just made with the left over pastry so dead easy to do. I have splurges in the kitchen and then other times I can't even be bothered to make tea.
Absolutely shattered now.
Fingers crossed for your ebay stuff GR.
A friend at work sells masses on ebay usually at 99p I asked her if she thought it was worth it but she said she always adds a bit to P&P so it adds up. I always want more for my things though.
Have a lovely day tomorrow.

Thanks Diz, hope you have a good day today as well. Bank Holidays really throw me, don't even know what day it is!!! Its always nice thinking it's Tuesday then realising its Wednesday....
Have got 4 items finishing on e-bay today and not even a watcher. I'm hoping that they're all waiting for the last day to jump in with their bids, always the optimistic one!
Got very little planned for today other than lottery tonight which I always think I'm going to win. Saying that had a late night last night (ex turned up again) and didn't get to bed until 2 am so the chances are that I won't be watching anything after Corrie!
Hope you all have a good day and catch you later.0 -
My day hasn't improved in the slightest. Am so tired and ratty. Got 4 things finishing on e-bay tonight and no bleeding interest in them at all. I did decide to get rid of the desk and chair though and I've already listed the chair, just got to clear junk off the desk to take a picture of it so that I can list that. Will make sure I do that tonight.
Feeling very tearful today, don't know whether it's because I'm tired but feel really sorry for myself.
Going to have a nice bath now and get my jamas on and will post back in a little while.0
