It takes a degree of intelligence to understand that the length of a warranty does not equate to the life of the product. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
But none to state the obvious. When offering advice it's better to use experience to know what your risk/reward chances are in the small claims court and not castigate others for making sensible posts.0

You seriously think that posting this is a sensible post?
As Apple only offer a 1 year warranty on their handsets it should give you some idea of how long they expect their handsets to last!
By saying this means that any manufacturing warranty implies that the life expectancy of a product will be 3 to 4 years when there is no such independently agreed life span on electrical goods. Which by they way Apple has to work within UK consumer law like all other Companies selling electrical goods in the UK
Who knows if the OP has a chance in hell of getting anything but at least they should be given sensible advice which other members have done rather than on baseless assumptions. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Sensible advice to waste money... it fits with your general approach. You obviously don't, to answer your last question; the first repeats your inital quotation (3 times now) - even more won't make it any less accurate. As for baseless assumptions; I make none, having used the small claims courts successfully on numerous occasions and avoided throwing money and time away on lost causes, so I leave those to you.0

My sincere thanks to those here who've kindly given their time to provide useful advice on this, my first ever post on MSE - I'm very grateful.0

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but I am not talking about anything with regards to small claims court and also not aiming baseless claims against you. Please stay within the topic of what I was responding too which is the claim that warranty equates to life of product.
I can only comment on what was written and if what was written was to mean something else then that is not my problem. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Good luck at the Apple Store.
Stay polite but firm on your resolve that the product is at fault and not user error (example using cheap chargers not bought from apple could cause issue)
