Where to buy physical Gold/Silver Bullion at Market price?

  • I would say it is the wrong time to buy gold.

At the beginning of October gold was about £900 per troy ounce - it has now jumped to £990 per troy ounce.

As night follows day as the stock markets recover in the future then the price of gold will fall.

Keep an eye on gold prices and buy when the prices fall again.

If you're trying to suggest that there's some sort of inverse correlation between equities and gold then this isn't borne out by the facts, as seen at the likes of https://www.longtermtrends.net/stocks-vs-gold-comparison/.

Ok the bars works out to be cheaper than coins and a better investment?

No the coins are cheaper than the bars by £50 per kg of silver.

Bars will only be worth the spot price of the metal + a small premium.

Coins can appreciate beyond spot value if you choose wisely + you have the added benefit of them being fractional so easier to liquid as little or much as you want.

Ok reviewing this thread so far I received numerous replies listing the websites:

    http://www.hattongardenmetals.com/buy/
    https://atkinsonsbullion.com/
    http://www.goldline.co.uk
    https://www.chards.co.uk/
    http://www.elminvestments.co.uk/gold-coins.html
    https://atkinsonsbullion.com/
    https://www.coininvest.com/en/
    physicalgold.com
    https://www.silver-to-go.com/en/
    Goldcore
    apmex.com
    Goldsilver.be
    https://www.europeanmint.com/
    Bullion by Post

Any other websites better than above that deserves mentioning?

As im really confused with the long list above which website has the best customer reviews for gold/silver investment bullion?

If I were to get a good exchange rate from pound to Euro then which website is the cheapest with good reviews?

Which of these websites outside UK accept £GBP payments? Also which sites accept credit/debit cards? Do have I section 75 protection on my credit card if I buy these metals and they don't turn up?

Also Capital Gains Tax is not paid on British/UK coins only like for e.g. sovereigns and britannias coins when I sell them? So CGT is only paid on non british coins outside UK like canadian maple leaf, chinese pandas, American eagles? What about european coins as we are still in europe?

How the hell does the tax office now that someone has sold their physical metals? It's not a ETF or share where it can be tracked online. Confusing.

A £million, just joking :D I wish lol. Yeah depends on the prices on those websites, if prices too high then yeah out of my budget. Do you know which website is the cheapest? Or is it the more I spend the more discount I get?

I dont know which one is the cheapest.
Why dont you visit each website and get a quote or check prices and then you will know.
If someone says x website is the cheapest you will only ask if they are correct.
If you do it yourself you will know for sure.

Gold/silver prices are not exactly stable and not same everyday due to its market so its going very difficult to track prices. Plus i want to know which site has the best reviews and trustworthiness so a site with the cheapest prices maybe a scam so its best to play safe and ask.
