I just get everybody vouchers now. Last year i made my mum, OH's mum & auntie lovely home made baskets. I'd collected decent bits over the months leading up to Christmas and it worked out around £15 each. I got them over bits too, but this was just a nice gift with thought gone in.
Maybe you could make your own baskets Maria? i bet you have lots of boots bit etc that could make up a lovely basket? i remember last year people having ideas for blokes too, movie night basket, male grooming hamper etc. Its really good fun too making them, i loved it and couldn't wait to give them to my family.

There gorgeous Hayley! How freaky though as i did the same thing last year!!!
You must have been looking at the same hamper making thread as me last year on here?
I made my mum, SIL, and nan a hamper each. They were all very impressed with them. Coz i gave them hampers last year i cant really do the same again this year. Plus the boots stash is all MINE!!!!:rotfl:
I won nothing on the free £5 tombola voucher. but just ordered £5 from lightspeed to go into my paypal.:DMake £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Yeah, its a shame isn't it, i too can't do the hamper idea again this year, even though i LOVED making them. I could always make myself a hamper lol. I still have lots of hamper bits left over. I loved the hamper thread, i was on it daily, looking at everybody elses hampers too to give me ideas, it was fab.
My boots stash is MAHOOSIVE, i have so many face wipes, i'm just hoping they don't all dry out before i have chance to use them all. I have un tolds Time Delay facial stuff, i prob won't use most of it, i'll prob only use the facial moisturiser with the hint of tan in it. The boots offer this month are rubbish compared to last month, which is probably a good thing otherwise i may of got addicted to shopping in boots.0 -
Yeah the new boots mag has rubbish vouchers. No free things! The face wipes should have an expirey date on them. I buy my facial wipes in bulk when there on offer, they dont go dry unless you open them of course!
I was also on the hamper thread checking out everyones pic's. I dont know how you brought yours but i brought a whole roll of celeophane from ebay to wrap my baskets in still have loads left under my bed. So i will have to do hampers again one year to get rid of celeophane! maybe i could make a couple of my best work mates small hampers.Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Face wipes have expiry dates? i never knew that.
Yeah i got mine from ebay too, was such a great price. The roll i got was huge. Thats a good idea about little ones for work mates. The only trouble i had with my baskets is finding decent baskets, i went everywhere trying to find some, of all places got them in Wilkinsons in the end. When i was in Lakeside last month i noticed IKEA do lovely little baskets, only about £2 each. I snapped up a few just in case lol.0 -
