    Fourth Anniversary
    Hi everyone,
My first month's budget will be £150. That's for me and the OH. Running from 28th Nov to 27th Dec. The dog has about a month and a half's worth of food left and the two pet rats (Yes I said rats! :rotfl: ) have enough dried food for a month or so and get mini meals from some of our veggies etc.

My freezer needs a much needed defrost. The non-frosting function isn't working anymore! So using up the last of the contents. I usually get a bulk delivery from an online butchers every few months, but a butchers 'market' has opened up a five minute walk away so might be able to get cheap meat in there without having the bulk buy.:j

I also aim to start having more vegetarian meals like I used to.Worked out cheaper when had YS items.
My plan for next year is to grow some veggies  (is there a thread on here somewhere than can help me?)

Also need to reduce our take aways. We used to limit ourselves to one a month, but laziness has taken over :o

Tomorrow will be meal planning.Going out tonight so won't be doing much tomorrow! :rotfl:

  • So, I got mixed up and I don't actually get paid until next week...should make hitting the target easier as we don't have much money!

Spent €43.05 today, which including toiletries, alcohol for guests and coffee capsules for the machine, as well as general food.

Probably shouldn't have bought the alcohol as now I only have about €5 to
last the week, but we should manage OK. Need to buy cat litter which will be a euro and probably rice and eggs.
  • Didn't end up getting mushrooms so had pasta bake with peppers, courgette and chicken.
Got a handful of new potatoes left so will roast those tomorrow to go with the lamb.

  • Still going really haywire on my November budget-haven't done well with November

I would like to put myself down for £210/B] please starting from the 1st December until the 31st.

I have upped it because of the meat order that I go halves on with my mum and usually get plenty of meals out of it after that I freeze. Also the little extra amount spare after the meats should cover the extras for Christmas. I'm going to try and not to go overboard

Please can you put me down for £250 to run from 24th November to 18th December (next payday). The cupboards are pretty bare as I'm still decluttering from going veggie a month ago.

  • Could I be put down for a rather generous £400 please. Not sure how many extra mouths we're going to have to feed this month so it's to cover that plus the extra luxuries we'll be getting for Christmas and New Year. My month will run from 1st - 31st December

  • Plans changed slightly today as I forgot to get the lamb out last night, Ended up going to a farm shop and garden centre today, so spent £12 on cheese for Christmas, and £20.97 on some toffee apple liqueur, damson jam and passion fruit and mango curd.
Hubby wants to open the liqueur, I'm hoping we can keep it shut till Christmas then he can have it as one of his gifts. I'll add it to the budget though just in case.
As the lamb wasn't ready I bought some pies from Tesc0 so spent £2.80 there.
