Rointee electric tariff

Hi we have Rointe heating when it was installed we changed from economy 7 tariff to economy 10 as the housing assosication supplying were unsure of type of heater. However winter months we easily spend nearly £100 a week electricity - we are all electric and that's without all heating even on.
Can anyone advise the tariff i need to be on or if i am on the best option.
We have 3 cheap rates on ecomony 10. Our provider is SSE thanks

    Do not attempt to switch supplier with your current metering.
    Attempts by others to do so have invariably ended in tears.

    Have you checked that the heaters are only on during the cheap periods? Outside those times, the electricity will be more expensive than normal.
    If it sticks, force it.
    If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

    Perhaps they are embasssed about their lack of understanding of these tariffs.? :cool:

    Unlike E7, E10 metering is not universally accepted. Furthermore, E10 in one supply region may be completely different to another.
    So a list of suppliers that offer E10 (some to existing, legacy customers only) is meaningless really.
    Hence my golden rule above.

    1) So your economy 10 package: how many different time rates are there and what are the relevant time periods? Don't know? Check your supplier website and/or printed bill and/or phone and ask them.

    2) During what time periods are you using
    * heating?
    * hot water?
    * washing machine/other timed electricals?
    * what electrical equipment are you using during the peak time period?
